Institute for Sensors, Signals and Electrotechnics
Whether it concerns nursery gardens, power plants, hearing aids or loudspeakers, the Institute of Sensors, Signals and Electrotechnics, SENSE for short, can be an important contributor of knowledge and expertise – both with regards to research and education, and in relation to specific projects in cooperation with the business sector.
SENSE contributes to the education of B.Sc. and M.Sc. Engineers at the Faculty of Engineering. The institute is also concerned with research in sensor technology, signal processing and electrotechnics – research which, to a large extent, is part of an interdisciplinary cooperation with the business sector and other research institutions.
More specifically, it concerns medical diagnostics, acoustic design of hearing aids and loudspeakers, projects in the horticultural industry and in the energy sector. The vision of SENSE is a continuous development of our core expertise and thus a strengthening of our research and our collaboration with the business sector internationally, keeping a special focus on making a valuable difference in the business sector as well as in the education of engineers in the region of Southern Denmark.
